Handsome Jack got some time out of his room last night and this morning. Last night he was pretty nervous, so he stayed upstairs. I decided to let Madeline out, too, and see how they did. She hissed at him through the door, but he didn't react, he just backed up. She came into his room while he was in a corner and couldn't really see her, and I kept her from cornering him and being mean.
She backed off and went to sit in the tube in the hallway. He got curious and came out, but didn't see her and walked right by into her (our) room. She was right behind him, about six inches back, but he still didn't know she was there. I told her to be nice, at which point he turned around, they saw each other, both panicked, and she jumped right over him to go into her room and he ran under her to run back to his room.
It was so funny, I was laughing too hard to tell Alex what happened.
This morning, I left her up and let him out to see how he did with Honey. He did great. He did so well, Honey was actually interested in him instead of avoiding eye contact, which means she's not afraid that he'll hurt her. He rubbed on her a couple times, but wasn't too interested in her. This time he explored the whole downstairs and really didn't want to go back into his room.
Once he and Madeline get used to each other, I'm hoping he can spend more time out.
