Gimlet and the kittens

A common symptom of hyperthyroid is "my old cat is acting like a kitten again!" Which is cute, but not normal, and it's like the cat is on speed: it strains the heart and the rest of the body in turn. I'm not sure if he'll still want to play with them in 3 weeks, but for now, he's happy to have friends.

Everyone is staring at him because he was being silly and playing under the dresser.
His favorite place to play is behind the curtain.
The kittens were playing under the bed, and as hard as he tried, he couldn't get them to come play with him.
So he looked on in disappointment.

Together

He really dotes on her. And I think she kind of likes him, too. But she'll be thrilled when he's gone.

Frank and Honey

Frank loved Honey. She tried to make friends with Madeline, but Madeline didn't want anything to do with her. Frank would run up to Honey and circle her and jump in the air. Honey was great with her when she wasn't too scared and running away.

Seriously, can't get enough of this little guy

The more he explores, the more annoyed Madeline gets. But I think he's still on her good side.

He is just the cutest little guy.

Watching baby Xan play

He found Madeline's toy box and dove right in. First thing he did was pull out the ping pong ball, which was tricky, because he does have thumbs.

Xanadu and Madeline

Madeline seems to approve of baby Xanadu. He tries to interact with her sometimes, but he's not a pest about it. She's not obsessed with knowing where he is at all times (even in her room), which means she's relaxed about him. I'm impressed with both of them.

Madeline's impression of Xanadu.

Madeline

How Madeline helps me with chores.

Madeline helps me get up in the morning.

Sometimes she asks me to open the curtains, and sometimes she is pleasantly surprised :)

I LOVE THIS CAT
