I am not a beagle person. They are adorable and sweet and the perfect size for apartments/townhomes, but I am not a beagle person.

| Aw. |
We are enjoying our little house guest, though. She spends a ridiculous amount of time in her crate, on her bed, but that seems to be where she is most comfortable. We've tried getting her to come out and even sit on the futon, but she's having none of that.
 |
| She also has a very suspicious face. |
She's been very good about going outside and even woke me up from my nap so I could take her out.

| Looking for Alex. |
Once we get outside, though, that nose starts going and it's darn hard to get her to focus on going to the bathroom.
I'm starting to think we should call her Cricket. She doesn't bark or howl like a normal beagle, but she does have this high-pitched whine that she unleashes when she's excited.
She sure likes Alex.
After he left at lunch, this is what she did:
She finally settled down, but then she kept getting up every time she heard a car outside. How am I supposed to take a nap when the dog keeps hopping up and going to the door?
adorable
Checking in on Ladybug aka Cricket from across the pond. Uh-oh! Has a certain couple stolen Ladybug's heart and vice-versa?
ReplyDeleteYea, I think she was penned most of her life and definitely not comfortable on furniture. She did hang out with us on her little cheetah print bed in the livingroom and bedroom.
Am glad to see she is being a good girl. :)
Haha, still not a beagle person. We just spent 30 minutes outside in the chill trying to get Miss Cricket to poop.
ReplyDeleteWe've been working on forcing her to take her treats and stuff outside the kennel. She busted out while Alex was at work and met him at the door =) Everything looked in order, though, I bet she just sniffed everything about a million times, then laid back down in the kennel.
Thank you for watching Ladybug! I could tell she has put on much needed body weight during her short stay. I also noticed she is more sure of her new life and is less skittish.
ReplyDeleteToo lazy to unpack the car, I left the crate. She slept the whole night on her bed next to me without incident.
Happy Birthday :)
